The countryside rarely gets much better than the Dales surrounding the inn. Apart from fantastic walking country and attractive market towns other attractions within easy reach are the Trough of Bowland, the Settle to Carlisle railway (England's most scenic), Skipton Castle, Ingleton waterfalls, The Three Peaks, White Scar Cave, Pendle Hill and the Witches Trail, Embsay and Bolton Abbey steam railway and cruising on the Leeds & Liverpool canal.
Despite this tranquillity, The Plough Inn is easy to reach from the M6 motorway, the A65 or by rail to Settle station four miles away.
